Substance abuse is estimated to affect 15.3 million persons worldwide (WHO, 2014). Early recognitionis considered to be most effective. Few nurses and social workers are educated about reducing risk. This session will address how one college educated 250 nursing and social work students to use SBIRT, an evidence based practice.
