An evidence-based nursing policy and procedure minimizes risks, promotes safe patient care, and utilizes best practice (Dols et al., 2017). Maintaining evidence-based policy and procedures is challenging. Literature is lacking on policy and procedure review processes. A review checklist provides an evaluation method for nursing policy and procedures.
