Abstract
Global nurse leaders are challenged to sustain the profession. Magnet designation, the Beacon award, and other programs promote healthy and healthful workplaces. How nurses feel, and how they perform, affects patient safety and health outcomes. The speaker addresses leadership principles aimed at sustaining nurses and nursing's future through engagement.
