The file attached to this record is the October 2016 issue of ANDER, INDEN's peer-reviewed journal. This journal evolved from the INDEN Newsletter which served the organization well for many years. Since 2013 the journal has acknowledged the excellence of submitted manuscripts by having them peer-reviewed. This edition of the journal highlights different aspects of academic experience. In the peer-reviewed section Professor M. R. Venkatasalu explores some practical difficulties experienced within the doctoral supervision process and shares some possible strategies that can assist supervisors, reduce student attrition, and increase rates of doctoral completion. The second publication is a reflective journey written by Dr Grace W.K. Ho describing the author’s experience of becoming a nursing academic in the US. Also in this issue, three student perspectives by doctoral nursing students from the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam highlight current dissertation projects....

This edition of the journal continues to explore key issues in nursing doctoral education and showcase its diversity. In the peer-reviewed section Professor Sonja McIlfatrick highlights the key steps in the grant writing process, explaining common pitfalls, perils and pearls. Thereafter all the accepted abstracts for oral and poster presentations at the 2015 biennial INDEN conference are made available. Elsewhere in the journal six doctoral student perspectives are presented, spanning a range of different countries and learning journeys....
