Sigma Theta Tau International 44th Biennial Convention 2017 Conference Proceedings

The Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) conducted its 44th Biennial Convention in Indianapolis, IN, USA, 28 October–1 November 2017. More than 2,000 nurses from around the world gathered at the convention, which had as its theme “Influence Through Action: Advancing Global Health, Nursing, and Midwifery.”
Program objectives of the 44th Biennial Convention include:
Discuss how nurses advocate for and lead interprofessional change to improve and influence global health and health policy
Promote knowledge transformation and lifelong learning within practice and education
Expand scholarly and philanthropic collaboration among nurses in practice, education,and research globally
These conference proceedings are a collection of abstracts submitted by the authors and presented at the research congress. To promptly disseminate the information and ideas, participants submitted descriptive information and abstracts of between 300 and 1500 words. Each oral and poster presentation abstract was peer-reviewed in a double-blind process in which three scholars used specific scoring criteria to judge the abstracts in accordance with the requirements of STTI’s Guidelines for Electronic Abstract Submission.
