Over the last decade, Sigma chapters have been encouraged to incorporate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their strategic and operational plans. In this session, Sigma's Liaisons to the United Nations (UN) will discuss their analysis of Sigma chapter service activities and engagement with the SDGs since being granted consultative status at the UN.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Recognize the complexities within the UN System
2. Discuss how Sigma as an organizations influences global priorities
3. Idenitfy the channels in which UN Liaisons disseminate knowledge to Sigma members
4. Describe the ways in which they can contribute the work of the UN
