In Switzerland as well as many other countries, the role of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNL/CNS) can be seen within the skill mix, whose leadership is oriented towards patient care at the bedside. To disseminate knowledge about the role and evaluate the possible impact on organizational and clinical practice, a review of the literature was performed based on the question: What impact does Clinical Nursing Leadership have on the quality of patient care?
