The recent research released by the International Centre on Nurse Migration (ICNM) highlights the vulnerable state of the global nursing workforce in light of the pandemic and provides a blueprint for what needs to be accomplished at the national and international level to address this crisis. This webinar will highlight these findings, lay out key data, and identify action items for maintaining a sustainable global nursing workforce beyond COVID-19.
Learning Outcomes:
1. An understanding of the current and future trends in migration, nurse migration, and workforce, including the impacts of COVID-19
2. Knowledge of the leading issues pertaining to nursing supply and country self-sufficiency, including trends in international recruitment, and retention and workforce sustainability
3. A concrete action agenda to mitigate the damaging effects of the pandemic and to improve long-term nursing workforce sustainability
