Despite being well studied in disciplines such as Leadership, Business and Engineering, Followership theory less known and sometimes misunderstood in health care. Understanding the basic tenants of this theory will provide a deeper understanding and new perspective of the contextual factors influencing robust collaboration in health care teams.
