Man and his environment interact continually through changing energy patterns. One of the energy patterns with which man interacts is light, or more specifically, the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. This paper deals with changing patterns of man as seen through cardiac rate changes as the organism interacts with visible light of different colors. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between exposure to planned environmental visual stimulation, in the form of colored light, and heart rate response.
