This study purpose was to examine the influences of coping strategies and using alcohol on elders' psychological well-being and suicidal ideation. Coping strategies and using alcohol with negative emotion had significant relationships with elders' psychological well-being and suicidal ideation. Problem focused coping strategies increased psychological well-being and decreased suicidal ideation.
