Abstract
King’s interacting systems framework guided the development of the Killeen theory of patient satisfaction. This theory of patient satisfaction, in turn, guided the development of an instrument, the KKPSN (the Killeen-King Patient Satisfaction with Nursing). The use of a nursing theory-based instrument as one way to effectively measure nursing interventions and outcomes in nursing outcomes research is the subject of this presentation.
