Abstract
This academic service-learning experience provided health screenings and health education to a rural migrant workers and children medically underserved community. RN-BSN students enhanced their cultural competence in assessing, providing health care, and education. The focus was on health promotion and lifestyle changes empowering people to take charge of their health.
