There is a call for increased diversity in nursing education. However, anecdotal evidence indicates tenure-track Black nursing faculty may be denied tenure or leave academia before submitting their tenure dossier. To recruit and retain Black nursing faculty and support racial equity in higher education, Black faculty need support in achieving tenure and promotion.</p>
